Our Mission

Founded in 2021, a sports advisory business with a focus of working with European football clubs and investors (pre, during and post-acquisition) to help support the build out of best-in-class practical strategies and execute on optimal operations, both on and off-pitch.

At all levels of the football pyramid, to navigate the changing national and international regulatory landscape and stay ahead of the increasingly global competition, clubs need to continuously evolve. Running a progressive club means knocking down internal barriers to align resources efficiently and effectively; it means embracing advanced data analytics and integrating it throughout the organization to support fast and fact-based decisions; it means executing on short-term goals in support of the medium- and long-term ambitions and objectives.

We help you set up and succeed in that journey. With vast experience operating within club football, we understand its unique challenges: from contract negotiations and agent dealings to building a data-driven culture; from breaking down departmental barriers to enhancing player development. Our expertise goes beyond football - we bring a wealth of knowledge from management consulting, entrepreneurial ventures, mergers and acquisitions and commercial strategy to complement our years working within the game. Our approach is to work with clients of all sizes and across the football pyramid to build appropriate strategy, data and technology infrastructure and operations, and to support the execution and on-going implementation and review processes.

Bringing diverse experiences to transform football clubs into world-class organizations

Huss Fahmy

Prior to co-founding RFG, Huss Fahmy worked for Arsenal Football Club between 2017 and 2022 to help oversee their period of material transition. In his role as Director of Football Operations and as a member of the clubs Executive Team and Football Leadership Group, he oversaw the modernisation of all football operations and administration including all player and head coach negotiations, and devised club trading strategies to positively impact the overall wage-to-revenue ratio as well as intra contract performance variability conditions. He was also responsible for creating and executing the clubs first, and very successful, transition and loan management team and was the Executive responsible for creating the synergy between the Academy, First Team, and Arsenal Women’s sporting development programmes. Huss held key institutional relations roles on behalf of the club, including sitting on the Premier League’s Sporting Director Committee and the European Cubs Association Competition Committee. In his position as an Executive Team member, Huss’s role included sitting on Arsenal’s Capital Expenditure, club-wide headcount, and special projects committee, as well as across the organizational change and strategy plan.

Before Arsenal, Huss was Director of Commercial and Business Affairs at Tour Racing Limited (“Team Sky” and now “Team INEOS”) from 2014 to 2017. He was instrumental in steering the high-profile cycling project, overseeing all rider contracts, commercial partnerships and legal and governance affairs for shareholders Sky and NewsCorp (and later 21st Century Fox).

Between 2010 and 2014, Huss worked for Sky Sports, the sports division of European Broadcaster Sky, where he was responsible for end-to-end negotiation for all sports broadcast rights with major rights holders (including, UEFA, Premier League, Formula 1, England & Wales Cricket Board, Augusta National Golf Club, NFL and Cricket Australia) and on-screen talent across Sky’s multi-platform services.

Huss began his career at international law firm Herbert Smith LLP (now Herbert Smith Freehills). Huss remains a Solicitor and a Director of the British Association for Sport and Law, as well as being a co-founding mentor of the social enterprise, Diversity in the Business of Sport, providing mentoring, insight, and opportunities for underrepresented minority groups in sport.

Jaeson Rosenfeld

Prior to co-founding RFG, Jaeson Rosenfeld held a long-standing strategic role on the Executive Team at Arsenal FC between 2012 to 2020. During that time Jaeson spearheaded the club’s analytics efforts, weaving data-driven capability and decision-making into the fabric of Arsenal’s operations. He oversaw a multi-geographic team and was instrumental across the club’s operations, with a focus on recruitment, contract negotiations and player development. Prior to Arsenal, and as the co-founder/CEO of StatDNA, he pioneered advanced analytics in football, leading to the firm's eventual acquisition by Arsenal in 2012. Following Arsenal, Jaeson was asked to join FIFA to help establish their analytics capability and department, where he was pivotal in driving, amongst other things, the debut of live in-match analytics at the 2022 World Cup.

Before football, Jaeson had a very successful and diverse career at leading management constancy firm McKinsey and Company from 1995 to 2009, advising on corporate strategy across a spectrum of industries while being a key contributor to McKinsey's internal think-tank, the McKinsey Global Institute. His entrepreneurial mindset led him to create and later sell the e-commerce venture bobbleme.com, with successful manufacturing operations spanning Mexico and China.

Jaeson's interest in and dedication to social enterprise is evidenced through his co-founding of Digital Divide Data (DDD) in 2001. This transformative social enterprise creates opportunities and jobs in technology roles across Africa and Asia, currently employing over 1,000 individuals. He remains actively involved as a board member and chair of the social impact committee. Jaeson currently undertakes an advisory role with the Livelihood Impact Fund (LIF), leading the Urban Living Standards initiative, aiming to elevate living standards through affordable housing, internet access, waste management, and improved street lighting in underserved urban areas, with a focus on East Africa.
